Pick the right colour
- Warm white (around 3000K): cosy and relaxed. Good for living rooms and bedrooms.
- Natural white (around 4000K): crisp and clear. Good for kitchens, bathrooms and laundries.
- Cool white (5000K and up): very bright and blue-ish. Best kept for garages and workshops.
- Can't decide? Colour-selectable downlights let you choose with a small switch on the fitting.
Look for IC-4 rated
IC-4 rated downlights are designed to be covered by ceiling insulation. That keeps your insulation working properly and is the safer choice in most Australian ceilings.
How many do you need?
Fewer, well-placed lights usually beat a grid of too many. Spacing depends on ceiling height, beam angle and what the room is used for. We plan the layout around benches, tables and walls, not just the middle of the ceiling.
Dimmers that actually work
Not every LED works with every dimmer. A mismatch causes flicker, buzzing or lights that won't dim smoothly. We fit dimmers that are compatible with the lights we install.
Replacing halogens
Old halogen downlights run hot and use far more power. Replacing them with quality LEDs cuts running costs and heat in the ceiling, and they last for years.
